Just when we think we have our little piece of nature figured out, something very unexpected happens to surprise us:

Why is there a giant mushroom growing out of our tree? This is a bad case of mushroom surprise.

  1. Holy Mother of God…what in the world IS that thing? Are you sure it isn’t that bizarre sea creature that lives inside a conch shell somehow teleported to your house and stuck to the side of your tree?!?!?! Or an ear of some kind maybe. I’m not really a naturey kind of gal so what do I know, but how is it that a mushroom the size of Alaska is coming out of a tree???
